In 2006, a first conference entitled “Neo-Schumpeterian Economics: An Agenda for the 21st Century” took place in Třešť, Czech Republic. Třešť is Joseph A. Schumpeter’s birthplace. The aim of this conference was the investigation of the significance of Neo-Schumpeterian Economics as a guideline for contemporary economic policy and its challenges.
The next conference entitled “Neo-Schumpeterian Economics 09: An Agenda for the 21st Century II.” will take place on June 10th to June 12th, 2009, in Třešť. It will jointly be organized by the J.A. Schumpeter Endowment Fund, the Community of Třešť, and by some scholars of Schumpeterian Economics. The venues of the conference will be Třešť Castle Hotel and J.A. Schumpeter’s birth house. Třešť can easily be reached from Prague by bus [see Traffic Connection]. There is enough Accommodation in Třešť.
The focus of this follow-up conference will again be the investigation of the significance of Neo-Schumpeterian Economics as a guideline for contemporary economic policy and its challenges. The deadline for submitting papers is extended to May 1st, 2009.You can submit your papers at the Submission of Papers section of the webpage.
The deadline for Registration is May 25th, 2009. Your paper will be entered into the conference program only if you registered within the deadline of registration. The conference fee is € 150.00. There is a reduced fee for students of € 50.00. For Czech scholars the conference fee is € 50.00. The conference fee covers all meals, but not accommodation. Participants claiming reduced fees have to give evidence at conference check-in. Accompanying persons have to register and pay the conference fee (as it covers all meals); they have also to book accommodation.
